The company was established in January 1998, formed by
the integration
of Rhea Manufacturing Corporation (the
manufacturing arm of Philusa Corporation) and Apollo
Chemicals, Inc.
Rhea Manufacturing Corp. was established in 1975 while
Apollo Chemicals started in 1972. Both are subsidiary
companies of the Mercury Group of Companies, Inc. and
are manufacturers and repackers of
Pharmaceutical/Consumer products. Both of the
companies' products are distributed by Philusa
Corporation.
Because of Philusa's successful marketing/distribution
efforts, it was decided to put up a new modern plant
at Laguna Technopark in Sta. Rosa, Laguna that would
focus on manufacturing and repacking. Hence, the
production facilities and activities of Philusa
Corporation (which was under Rhea Manufactring Corp.)
and Apollo were integrated into one organization and
location - Telstar Manufacturing Corporation.
Today,Telstar manufactures household remedies and
consumer products, and repackage commonly used
chemicals. It's product line is concentrated mostly on
external use preparation, namely: toilet deodorizers,
rubbing alcohol, liniments, cosmetics, and other
household products.
